We do take shop appointments in Navarre, and you're welcome to bring the car in. But in a spread-out place like Santa Rosa County, the drive to a shop, the wait, and the drive back is the worst part of getting tint — so most of our customers never make that trip. We come to them, from our Navarre home base to every town on the Emerald Coast.
Here's how a mobile install actually works, start to finish, and what you need to know before you book one.
Step 1: You text us the vehicle
Text (850) 930-1195 with your year, make and model, or just a photo of the car in your driveway. That's it. You'll get back a firm price — not a range, not "starting at" — usually within the hour, along with the next available slot.
Our car window tinting prices are posted (carbon from $299.99, ceramic window tint in Navarre from $349, ceramic IR from $449 for a sedan), so most of the conversation is about which film and when. We're open 8am to 5pm, seven days a week, and same-day is often possible.
Step 2: A crew pulls up with the shop
Everything a tint shop has, minus the building, rides in each of our mobile setups:
- The film, in the shades that meter legal on your glass
- A plotter that cuts patterns for your exact year, make and model — no freehand razor work on your glass
- Power, water and lighting, so we don't need your outlets or your hose
- A VLT meter, because the first thing we do is read your factory glass
We work in your driveway, garage or workplace parking lot. A garage is ideal — no wind, no pollen, controlled light — but a driveway is fine, and we've done plenty of installs in office lots in Gulf Breeze and on job sites in Milton.
Step 3: The install — about 1 to 2 hours
Here's what happens to the car while you're inside doing whatever you'd rather be doing:
- Meter and inspect. We read each window's VLT and check for chips, scratches or old film. If there's old tint, we tell you before we start what removal involves.
- Cut the patterns. The plotter cuts film to your car's exact glass shapes.
- Clean the glass. This is most of the job. Every speck left on the glass becomes a bump under the film, so the inside of each window gets scraped and cleaned twice.
- Shrink and set. Curved glass — especially back windows — gets heat-shrunk on the outside of the glass so the film lies flat, then moved inside and squeegeed down.
- Final pass. Edges checked, trim reinstalled, glass cleaned on the outside.
A four-door sedan takes about an hour. A big SUV, a truck with a steep back glass, or a car with old film to remove runs closer to two, sometimes more. We'll tell you up front.
Step 4: Aftercare — the part that matters most
Fresh film is fully bonded on the surface but the adhesive underneath is still curing, and Florida humidity slows that down. For the first few days:
- Keep the windows up for 2–4 days. Rolling a window down against the seal can lift the edge before the adhesive has set.
- Expect a little haze or small water pockets. Those are moisture working out from under the film. They clear on their own. Full cure can take up to 30 days in summer here.
- Don't clean the inside of the glass for a week, and when you do, use an ammonia-free cleaner and a soft cloth.
We go over all of this in person and it's on your receipt.
"Is mobile as good as a shop?"
It's the question behind most of the calls we get, so here's a straight answer.
The film is identical. The patterns are identical. The installers are the same trained crew who'd do it in a bay. What a shop offers is a controlled environment — no wind, no dust, no rain. We solve that two ways: we work in your garage when you have one, and when you don't and the weather is wrong for a clean install, we reschedule rather than push through it. A tint job with dust under it is a tint job we'd have to redo under warranty, so we have every incentive to get the conditions right the first time.
What mobile gets you that a shop can't: your Saturday back, no waiting room, no second trip to pick the car up, and the ability to have your work truck tinted on the job site without losing a day.
Weather: what happens when it rains
It's the Gulf Coast, so this comes up. Rain itself isn't the problem — the film goes on the inside of the glass. The problem is wind and airborne dust while the film is out of its liner, and high humidity in an open driveway, which slows the squeegee work and traps moisture.
Our rule: if you have a garage or carport, we work in almost any weather. If it's an open driveway and a front is coming through, we'll call the morning of and either shift the time a few hours or move to the next day. We would rather reschedule than put film down in conditions that leave dust under it — that's a warranty job we'd have to come back and redo, and it's your car in the meantime.
Summer afternoon thunderstorms are the classic Navarre case: we schedule morning slots in July and August for exactly that reason, and most installs are finished before the sky turns.
What we need from you
Not much:
- A place to park with room to open all four doors. Driveway, garage, carport, office lot.
- A reasonably clean interior. We're working inside the doors; a week of kids' snacks on the door panels makes it slower.
- Somebody reachable by phone in case we have a question — you don't have to be standing there.
- A heads-up about old film, so we bring what's needed to remove it.
We bring everything else.
Where we go — with no travel charge
We're based in Navarre and the entire service area is covered at the same price, no travel fee, no minimum:
Navarre · Navarre Beach · Holley by the Sea · Gulf Breeze · Pensacola · Pensacola Beach · Milton · Pace · Mary Esther · Fort Walton Beach · Destin · Niceville · Crestview
That includes base housing at Hurlburt Field and Eglin AFB, and off-base residences near NAS Pensacola and NAS Whiting Field. For fleets — contractors, property managers, dealerships — we'll tint multiple vehicles on your lot in one visit, weekends included, with a multi-vehicle discount.
Fleets and work trucks
Some of our most regular work in Navarre is fleets: a landscaping company's four trucks on a Saturday morning, a real estate office's cars in the lot after hours, a contractor's crew-cabs on the job site in Pace. Tinted work trucks run cooler, the tools inside stay out of sight, and the crew isn't climbing into a 140° cab at lunch. We schedule around your hours, not ours.
Ready when you are
Text (850) 930-1195 with the vehicle and where it's parked. We'll send the price and the next open slot, and a crew will be in your driveway — usually within a day or two, often the same day. Running several setups at once is why same-day is realistic here.
